Monthly Meal Prep Starts in 2025

I've decided on my only resolution for the new year. That's to get more organized in the kitchen. I've defintely been tracking towards this since I had a draft blog written about weekly meal prep, but weekly planning is honestly so time consuming. I've decided to really commit to Monthly planning. I'm assuming it will come with a learning curve but hopefully after the first few months, I get it down. I'm even working on an excel spreadsheet to help with this that I hope to share by the summer! I love a good spreadsheet. I even created a recipe binder that I am going to need to start utilizing and get my printer working so I can print recipes for easier reference than looking on my phone.

Stay tuned for more on this as we get into January. As of right now, I plan to meal plan during the last week of the month for the next month and plan my weekly grocery pick ups/deliveries. Have I mentioned we will be able to get grocery delivery when we move even though we are actually in the middle of nowhere. I'm so excited. One key part of this that I plan to incorporate is freezer meals. If I'm making chicken spaghetti, I might as well double or triple it and freeze 1-2 trays. I'm also excited we will have a deep freeze when we move to store all this! I plan to pick up all the meat and things that can be stored for a month in the fridge at once, then just get perishables like fruits and veggies on a weekly basis. Hopefully I can plan around making freezer meals in the first month of a quarter (January, April, July, October) and use the freezer meals in the subsequent 2-3 months while they are still "fresh" if you will.
